Facility Updates at Bay Creek
The month began with news of completed improvements around the property. The bag storage project reached its final stage. At the Life Center, the installation of new saunas began, adding to the growing list of wellness amenities that residents can enjoy year-round.
Ladies League Play Day and Clinic
The Ladies League gathered for their monthly Play Day. The event began with a complimentary morning clinic in the simulator room, led by Bay Creek staff and featuring instruction on a different golf skill each month. The clinic was followed by a casual nine-hole round with a shotgun start. Participants ended the morning with lunch from the Ladies League menu, which offered several items at a reduced price. With good weather and friendly play, the event again highlighted how the Ladies League brings members together for both social connection and shared improvement on the course.
Big Hole Tournament
One of the most memorable events this month was the Big Hole Tournament on September 7. Played in a four-person scramble format, the tournament featured oversized 15-inch cups on every green. This fun twist led to more aggressive play, plenty of eagles and birdies, and an afternoon filled with laughter and camaraderie.
After the 3:00 PM shotgun start, participants gathered at the Banquet Space for a 5:30 PM buffet dinner featuring shaved prime rib, chicken marsala, baked ziti, and more. The event drew strong participation from members and guests.
Wrapping Up Summer at the Life Center
As the summer season is coming to a close, the Life Center remained at the heart of Bay Creek activity. The lap pool heater was turned on to maintain a steady 80 degrees, ensuring that swimming could continue well into the fall. Fitness classes also continued at a full pace. Early September sessions included yoga, Pilates, TRX, chair yoga, Tabata, spin, and water aerobics.
Massage and Wellness Services
Another exciting development was the launch of expanded massage services at Bay Creek. Licensed massage therapist Rachel Ehrenfried began offering a wide range of treatments including Swedish, deep tissue, hot stone, Himalayan salt stone, cupping, Reiki, and sports taping. Sessions are available from Thursday to Saturday, with appointments offered throughout the day.
Evenings at the Tavern
The Tavern once again served as a gathering place in early September. On September 9, Trivia Night brought residents together for a lively competition, this time hosted by Theresa Conte. September 10 featured Martini Night, with a specialty menu of handcrafted martinis.
The Tavern also became a central spot for sports fans. September 13 featured college football specials, while September 14 shifted the focus to Sunday football, with bar promotions running from noon until close. The Game Day menu included wood-fired pizzas, wings, sliders, beer, seltzers, wine, and cocktails, creating a spirited atmosphere for fans to enjoy together.
Friday Live at the Tree of Life
On September 12, Bay Creek hosted another installment of the Friday Live series at the Tree of Life. The evening featured live music, complimentary light food, and drinks. Guests brought their own chairs and gathered near the trail entrance by the Coach House parking lot, where the setting and entertainment created a relaxed, family-friendly environment.
Outdoor Adventures
Beyond golf and dining, Bay Creek residents enjoyed unique outdoor programs. Ranger Stan led an Owl Prowl on September 10, giving participants the chance to explore local wildlife in a guided evening walk. September 14 featured the Bicycle Beer Flight, combining outdoor recreation with local tasting for a social afternoon.
High School Golf Returns
On September 11, Bay Creek proudly hosted a high school golf match for Northampton High School, marking their first home competition in over a decade. Teams from Nandua High School and Chincoteague High School also competed. The match was particularly meaningful because 2025 is the first year Northampton has fielded a golf team in more than 10 years, and Bay Creek is serving as their official home course.
By providing a venue for the team to play and practice, Bay Creek is not only supporting youth sports but also helping to reintroduce golf to the broader community.
A Vibrant Community and a Strong EB-5 Investment
The first half of September at Bay Creek showed once again how the community blends recreation, wellness, dining, and culture into daily life. Whether it was residents enjoying a creative new golf format, families gathering for live music, or members supporting local high school athletes, the range of activity demonstrates that Bay Creek is a thriving community that brings people together.
For EB-5 investors, this lifestyle is part of what makes Bay Creek such a compelling rural TEA project with a secured senior loan. Strong demand for homes is supported not only by the natural beauty of the Eastern Shore but also by the quality of life and activities that define the community. This demand helps ensure that Bay Creek remains a successful development, creating the jobs and economic growth that are central to the EB-5 program.
