Tamarack Resort is Officially Open for the 2024/2025 Ski Season

We’re excited to announce that Tamarack Resort’s ski season is officially underway! Thanks to early snowfall this year, the resort opened on Friday, November 8, 2024—about a month earlier than last season.

So far, an impressive 49 inches of snow have blanketed the slopes, allowing Tamarack Resort to open 3 lifts and 31 runs. This abundant early-season snowfall is a very strong start to the ski season.

The latest expansion proposal includes eight new chairlifts, over 2,000 acres of additional terrain, and countless new trails, promising an unparalleled skiing experience.

With expanded terrain, enhanced snowmaking technology, new amenities, and exciting events, this season promises plenty of snow-filled fun for all guests.

Tamarack Resort now offers an impressive 1,385 acres of lift-accessible terrain, ensuring a vast playground for skiers and snowboarders to explore. Families and beginners will love the new Lumberjack Land, situated off the Waltz run, offering ample space for skill-building and confidence-boosting.

Six state-of-the-art automated snowguns and an additional mile of snowmaking pipe ensure top-notch conditions. The cutting-edge snowcat technology provides smooth grooming on steeper terrain.

The new Nordic Center located in The Lodge at Osprey Meadows offers retail, rentals, and lessons, along with direct access to a 20-kilometer trail system. It’s the perfect escape for cross-country skiers, snowshoers, and fat tire biking enthusiasts. Form I-956F Exemplar Approved by USCIS

Tamarack Resort has received Form I-956F exemplar approval from USCIS. This approval means that USCIS has reviewed the project’s documents and found them to be compliant with the EB-5 program.

By approving Form I-956F, USCIS has agreed that Tamarack Resort is in a rural TEA. USCIS also accepted the project’s job creation methodology and EB-5 investment structure. As a result, investors can have greater confidence that an investment in Tamarack Resort should result in a permanent Green Card.

All Required EB-5 Jobs Already Created

Job creation is one of the most important factors to consider when selecting an EB-5 real estate project to invest in. USCIS requires all EB-5 visa applicants to create at least 10 jobs with their funds in order to qualify for U.S. Green Cards.

When evaluating the various EB-5 projects on the market, prospective EB-5 investors do well to examine each project’s job creation to date and potential to create future jobs.

What is more, EB-5 investors can significantly increase their chances of getting Green Cards by investing in projects that have already created the necessary number of jobs.

Tamarack Resort has already reached this impressive milestone. Through July 2024, the project has successfully created over 2,336 EB-5-eligible jobs—exceeding the requirement for all potential EB-5 investors in the fund.

Overview of the Tamarack Resort EB-5 Project

The project is being developed by MMG, a privately owned real estate investment group with experience in the resort market. MMG’s previous ski resort investments include Blue Mountain Village, Village at Copper Mountain, Village at Snowshoe Mountain, and Village at Stratton.

The EB-5 investment is structured as a secured loan, backed by a pledge of 100% equity in the project company and senior mortgages on the resort property. This investment offers an individual four-year loan term, which is shorter than average, and each EB-5 investor’s loan term operates independently from any other investor.

Located in a rural targeted employment area (TEA), the project allows EB-5 investors to invest $800,000 instead of the standard $1,050,000. Investors benefit from priority I-526E petition processing and gain access to rural set-aside visas, which make up 20% of all EB-5 visas.

If USCIS denies an EB-5 investor’s Form I-526E petition, the project offers a refund guaranty for faster repayment of the investor’s $800,000. Additionally, the developer has provided a job creation guaranty which guarantees that all EB-5 funds will be spent on qualifying EB-5 costs.

With these features, Tamarack Resort stands out as a best-in-class rural EB-5 project in the market today.

Independent Regional Center

EB5AN serves as the regional center sponsor for Tamarack Resort. Since EB5AN is entirely independent from the developer, it can prioritize the interests of its EB-5 investors without any conflicts of interest. EB5AN is an experienced EB-5 regional center operator and has facilitated over $1 billion in investments through the EB-5 program. To date, EB5AN’s total project development costs exceed $4.1 billion.

EB5AN focuses on offering foreign nationals low-risk, high-quality investment opportunities and has helped over 2,300 immigrant investors from over 70 countries.
