{"id":45708,"date":"2022-07-14T11:24:56","date_gmt":"2022-07-14T11:24:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/eb5visainvestments.com\/wordpress\/?p=45708"},"modified":"2026-06-17T09:56:08","modified_gmt":"2026-06-17T09:56:08","slug":"uscis-releases-new-form-i-526-eb-5-direct-investor-application","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/eb5visainvestments.com\/zh-hans\/uscis-releases-new-form-i-526-eb-5-direct-investor-application\/","title":{"rendered":"USCIS Releases New Form I-526: Direct EB-5 Investor Initial Green Card Application Form"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3 id=\"why\">New EB-5 Investor Form I-526 for Standalone or Direct EB-5 Investors is Expanded with New Required Disclosures<\/h3>\n<p>On July 12, 2022, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (\u201cUSCIS\u201d) released an updated <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uscis.gov\/sites\/default\/files\/document\/forms\/i-526.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Form I-526<\/a>,\u00a0<em>Immigrant Petition by Standalone Investor<\/em>. This new form replaces <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uscis.gov\/sites\/default\/files\/document\/forms\/i-526.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Form I-526<\/a>, <em>Immigrant Petition by Alien Entrepreneur<\/em>, which had been the prior individual EB-5 investor petition for both regional center and standalone (direct) EB-5 investors. Instructions for the new Form I-526 can be accessed <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uscis.gov\/sites\/default\/files\/document\/forms\/i-526instr.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Form I-526 form has been expanded and can now only be used for EB-5 investors who select standalone (direct) EB-5 investment projects with only a single EB-5 investor. A separate <a href=\"https:\/\/eb5visainvestments.com\/2022\/07\/12\/uscis-releases-new-form-i-526e-eb-5-regional-center-investor-initial-green-card-application-form\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Form I-526E<\/a> has already been released by USCIS for EB-5 investors who select EB-5 regional center sponsored EB-5 investment projects.<\/p>\n<p>Form I-526 requires additional information about the EB-5 investor since he\/she is now involved in the EB-5 program as an owner of the NCE.<\/p>\n<p>Disclosures about the EB-5 investor&#8217;s net worth, sources of capital for the EB-5 investment, and a breakdown of all &#8220;administrative costs and fees&#8221; are now present in Form I-526.
