Investors must prepare a number of documents to append to the petition for submission. They must also gather the necessary funds for an EB-5 investment and <a href=\"https:\/\/eb5affiliatenetwork.com\/importance-due-diligence-eb-5-investors\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">conduct due diligence<\/a> on the various projects available for investment. These steps can be done at the investor\u2019s own pace, though an experienced immigration attorney would help facilitate the process.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/eb5visainvestments.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/FAQ-167_image-2.jpg\" \/><br \/>\nAfter the investor has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uscis.gov\/i-526e\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">filed Form I-526E<\/a>, United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) may take up to two years or longer to <a href=\"https:\/\/eb5affiliatenetwork.com\/processing-times-for-eb-5-program-investors\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">process and adjudicate the petition<\/a>. After receiving approval of Form I-526E, EB-5 investors living abroad at the time of their I-526E petition approval will need to undergo consular processing and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uscis.gov\/forms\/department-of-state-ds-and-other-non-uscis-forms\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">submit Form DS-260<\/a>, Immigrant Visa Electronic Application. This application includes an interview at the U.S. embassy in the investor\u2019s home country. Consular processing generally takes around 8\u201312 months.<br \/>\nIn the past, an EB-5 investor already lawfully residing in the United States with a nonimmigrant visa would need to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uscis.gov\/i-485\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">file Form I-485<\/a> to adjust their status to conditional permanent resident. However, following the EB-5 Reform and Integrity Act of 2022, the I-526E and I-485 petitions can be filed concurrently, dubbed <a href=\"https:\/\/eb5visainvestments.com\/2022\/03\/14\/eb-5-concurrent-filing-will-let-investors-live-work-and-study-in-the-united-states-sooner-than-before-with-an-eb-5-investment\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">EB-5 concurrent filing<\/a>.
