Below is an overview of the requirements for each.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"h2\">E-2 Treaty Investor Program<\/h3>\n<p>The E-2 treaty investor visa is a nonimmigrant visa that grants temporary U.S. residency to qualifying foreign investors. It is available only to nationals of countries in a trade treaty with the U.S. The U.S. currently has trade treaties with over 70 countries.<\/p>\n<p>There&#8217;s no specific <a href=\"https:\/\/eb5affiliatenetwork.com\/what-is-the-minimum-investment-required-for-an-e-2-visa\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">minimum investment amount for an E-2 visa<\/a>. However, applicants must invest a substantial amount in an existing U.S. business or a start-up, and the investment must be &#8220;at risk.&#8221; They must also be actively involved in operating the business.<\/p>\n<p>An E-2 visa is usually valid for two years, and investors can renew it indefinitely.
