If the investor did not work with an attorney, they should <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uscis.gov\/working-in-the-united-states\/permanent-workers\/employment-based-immigration-fifth-preference-eb-5\/eb-5-support\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">contact USCIS<\/a> and wait for a response. If the investor has an attorney of record, the NVC may correspond with the attorney rather than the investor, so it is best to confirm with the attorney whether the NVC or USCIS has sent any correspondence regarding the case. If the attorney who filed the investor\u2019s I-526E petition is no longer associated with the case, the investor may want to <a href=\"https:\/\/eb5visainvestments.com\/eb-5-immigration-attorneys\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">retain new counsel<\/a> to handle the delay. If the investor\u2019s priority date is not current, the NVC will notify the investor and hold their application until the investor\u2019s priority date is current or will soon be current. Either way, the NVC will contact the investor when it receives the approved petition from USCIS.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/eb5visainvestments.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/FAQ-20_image-2.jpg\" \/><br \/>\nWhen the NVC is ready to begin pre-processing an investor\u2019s petition, it will instruct the investor to <a href=\"https:\/\/ceac.state.gov\/ceac\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">complete Form DS-261<\/a> if the investor does not already have an attorney. Next, the NVC will invoice the investor for the visa application fees. Once the investor has paid the fee bills, the NVC will request the visa application and supporting documents.
