However, while the prospective EB-5 investor\u2019s I-526E petition is pending, because the C-1\/D visa does not afford them any sort of legal immigration status, they may find it difficult to remain in the United States, depending on the duration and expiration of their C-1\/D visa.<\/p>\n<p><iframe src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/JJoKOs4pZTE?rel=0;&amp;autoplay=1&amp;mute=1&amp;loop=1&amp;\" width=\"100%\" height=\"678\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Due to the nature of their visa, C-1\/D visa holders are <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uscis.gov\/policy-manual\/volume-7-part-b-chapter-7\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">barred from adjusting status<\/a> to <a href=\"https:\/\/eb5affiliatenetwork.com\/eb-5-conditional-permanent-resident-status\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">conditional permanent resident<\/a>. Therefore, after being granted approval of Form I-526E, the C-1\/D visa holder will likely need to return to their home country and undergo consular processing.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, because the C-1\/D visa does not grant full work authorization, the visa holder will not be permitted to manage a business, which means making a <a href=\"https:\/\/eb5affiliatenetwork.com\/direct-eb-5-investments-an-overview\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">direct EB-5 investment<\/a> is not possible.
