This updated fee includes all biometric services fees, so those don\u2019t need to be submitted separately.<br \/>\nFrom the beginning of their application journey, EB-5 investors typically work with\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/eb5visainvestments.com\/eb-5-immigration-attorneys\/\">an immigration attorney<\/a>\u00a0who helps facilitate the EB-5 process and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/eb5affiliatenetwork.com\/importance-due-diligence-eb-5-investors\/\">conducts due diligence<\/a>\u00a0on the various projects available for investment. As a result, the EB-5 investor\u2019s immigration attorney will often assemble and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.uscis.gov\/i-829\">file Form I-829<\/a>\u00a0on the investor\u2019s behalf. The additional cost for this service will depend on the EB5 investor\u2019s particular attorney and their rates.<br \/>\n<iframe src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/V8cQaxN8KbA?rel=0;&amp;autoplay=1&amp;mute=1&amp;loop=1&amp;\" width=\"100%\" height=\"678\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><br \/>\nAfter submission, the I-829 petition is forwarded to the USCIS Dallas Lockbox. The EB-5 investor must file it during the 90-day period before the expiration of their\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/eb5affiliatenetwork.com\/eb-5-conditional-permanent-resident-status\/\">conditional Green Card<\/a>.<br \/>\nWhile the EB-5 investor\u2019s I-829 petition is pending, the investor and their family are entitled to continue living in the United States. If their conditional Green Card expires during this time, it is automatically <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uscis.gov\/newsroom\/alerts\/uscis-extends-green-card-validity-for-conditional-permanent-residents-with-a-pending-form-i-751-or\">extended for two more years<\/a>.<br \/>\nUSCIS will issue a receipt of filing to the persons under review, typically the EB-5 investor and their spouse and children. The receipt will allow the investor to track their application status and also grant them work and travel authorization.<br \/>\nIt can take USCIS around four years to process Form I-829, although this can vary. Applicants are advised to check processing times on the <a href=\"https:\/\/egov.uscis.gov\/processing-times\/\">official USCIS website<\/a>. Once processed, USCIS may contact the investor to schedule an interview or ask for further information.<br \/>\nOnce the EB-5 investor\u2019s I-829 petition has been approved, the investor and their family are granted\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/eb5visainvestments.com\/2018\/05\/05\/the-basics-of-u-s-citizenship\/\">permanent resident status<\/a>; all restrictions and conditions are lifted.
